    Built for war!

Just received this cover and the Dana 44 cover for my 2007 JK. Like the title says...they are built for war! I was surprised just how heavy these sucka's are. I'm also a welder and have been welding for a long time and these beads are just beautiful. Whoever did them did a kickass job. You could literally throw one of these at someone and it would probably take them out. I can't imagine denting one of these at all. If push comes to shove I think the rock is going to move or split under one of these. Nice job fellas...I'm sold on your products.

Ordering was easy, shipping was fast (as usual), and the diff cover is thick and strong. No more worries about a busted diff on the trail. Fit onto my HP D30 no problem. Highly recommend this cover for any project or rig. Don't forget to buy the longer bolts!

To start with shipping was lighting fast, and probably one of the best packing jobs I've ever seen.
Now for the Dana 30 cover "WOW" took two hand just to pick up this thing. I truly think I could shoot this thing and it wouldn't damage it.
I'll be back!!!

    GOT BEEF?

Dana 30 diff cover came faster than expected and was packaged very well. You know when Tim Allen from Tool Time grunts when there's something bitchen on the show? That's what I did when I pulled this bad boy out of the wrapping. Super beefy and great look and finish. I cleaned, primed, and painted the cover and went to installing it on my rig. Very good fit even after 3 coats of paint. Only area that I see for improvement would be that the area driled out around the holes were just a tiny big bigger so you can actually get a nice good bite on the bolts when fighting them down but still gets a 5 out of 5 in my book. Over all an outstanding and awesome product. You won't be sorry. Uuugh uugh uugh!!!

Awesome cover not so good bolt kit
|
By John Davis in WV on 2.6.2016

The cover super beefy and has first class construction. But... the optional bolt kit is not well thought out. It comes with the plug and 10 grade 8 bolts you could buy anywhere. The problem is you can't torque the bolts and can only tighten them with an open ended wrench due to how the cover is machened.

    Heavy Duty!

By Shannon Darnell in CA on 1.25.2016

Ordered this 30 and a 44 and basically got them the next day as I'm in Ca. I'm not one to tear my stuff up just because I can. And being a gear head I despise those people. But I can tell you these are the EPITOME of heavy duty. When the world ends there will be 3 things left, Cockroaches, Keith Richards, and these Diff covers.. Pull the trigger on these, you wont be disappointed..

diff cover thats as strong as the rest of your axle housing

By Darren Casada in KY on 8.16.2015

All material is 3/8" thick, well designed, dome for ring gear is made from one peice of steel, nice welds.
My wish list would be to have an option for allen head bolts that are flush mount cone shape.

There's no comparison with ruffstuff's diff covers. Actually sold my "bombshell" cover when i bought this. Absolutely solid and really a work of art, not to mention no 11-teen-year-old skull on them. Shipping is awesome every time with these guys. Absolutely would buy again, and have for the other toys.

I just installed mine today and this thing is THICK. I doubt I'd dent this like I did my stocker. As the other poster mentioned, the bolts don't fit well due to the thickness of the plate. I ran to the hardware store while the RTV was setting up and picked up some 5/16"x1"-18 bolts and some washers so I'd have more thread in the case.

    RuffStuff Dana 30 3/8
|
By Tony Muckleroy in TX on 1.6.2012

I ordered my RuffStuff Dana 30 3/8" Differential Cover back in November and I was very impressed with it when I received it. Beautiful welds and so heavy! The box it came in was about gone. But even UPS/USPS (I forget the carrier) couldn't do any damage to this hung of sculpted metal! lol
I just got around to installing it last night. Fitment on two of the bolts was a bit tight, so I would recommend a "dry" fitting before you put the RTV on it, you need to know what bolts to start with, and obviously don't tighten any of them until you have them all started.
I haven't put it on the dyno, but I'm pretty sure I've gained at least 10 HP from this mod! ;o)
Heavy duty, very well made product. I'll be getting one for my Chrysler 8.25 soon!
I've done a post with lots of pictures of the installation on xjtalk.com.
