Toyota Crossover Steering Kit

Toyota Crossover Steering Kit

Thinking about beefing up your stock Toyota steering? We've got the product for you! Heavy duty FJ-80 Landcruiser tie rod ends combined with 1.5" X .25" Wall DOM tubing for your Draglink & Tie Rod is the answer for any Toyota crossover steering applications. The Tie Rod Ends have the same taper as FJ40, FJ80, and the famous Mini truck however you cannot plug and play these into your stock Mini or FJ40. First you will have to increase your Tie Rod diameter, the complete reason for this kit!

The adjustment is easier because we add Hex Head TRE weld bungs so a cresent wrench is your adjustment tool, not a pipe wrench which will scar the tube and if too deep cause a major stress riser. Not to mention what it does to the paint...

These are stronger than stock because we use 1.5" X .25" Wall DOM tubing and the TRE's are much more beefy than stock

You will receive:

We supply more DOM than you need because it is way too easy to make a mistake in your calculations and you can always cut tube, growing it back is the hard part!

Questions and Answers

Ask a Question

Sean T. on -- Asked: Is there enough tubing in this kit for the tie rod and drag link on fj80 axles sitting under my 84 toyota frame using your hellfire knuckle kit?

Answered: Yes should be plenty
Ron S. on -- Asked: This kit would be sufficient to build my high steer for my Toyota axles under my Suzuki Samurai, correct. I realize I need the knuckle arms and other items but the term crossover steering confuses me vs high steer. I previously had a high steer setup on my Samurai axles so my Pittman arm should be drilled sufficiently for the fj ball joint.

Answered: Yes, the high steer kits are just a different form of cross-over style steering(Example: IFS toyota boxes). This is opposed to the old "push-pull" style steering linkage/boxes(factory toyota solid axle steering boxes). None of our steering kits are for push-pull.
Mike on -- Asked: Will this work with in a 77' fj40 that has been converted to saginaw power steering conversion.

Answered: Yes this will work only with the Saginaw crossover style steering boxes. This is NOT for the old Push-Pull style steering.
Michael H. on -- Asked: Just to clarify. Your Toyota crossover steering kit doesn't require welding correct? Thank you.

Answered: Yes it does require cutting/welding. There are several ways you can set the steering up on the toyota's depending on high-steer arms you may or may not be using. Also, depending on your size lift you would need a different length drag link made. This is a universal Do-it-Yourself kit.
Samuel O. on -- Asked: Will this fit my 2002 4runner sr5 4X4

Answered: This will fit if you've swapped to a toyota solid front axle with IFS steering box. This will not work on stock independent front suspension vehicles.
