These are the end result of a several year project for Matt at Solid Axle (Spintek). He was designing these at the same time another competing company came out with their version of the 14 Bolt derivitive. Matt took an extra year to make sure it was ready before releasing it, you can see it in the results!

I think the Key point here is that all stock parts can be used and you do not have to run parts made only for this axle. That alone can go a long way with keeping total costs down!

When we were asked to produce the housings for the Solid 14 it was quite a compliment. I have always been proud of our work here but honestly, we had only been building Axle Housings for 2 years.

Our Solid 14 Housing is well over 100lbs lighter than the stock 14 bolt and adds over 1 1/2" in the clearance department. Personally I think gained clearance is every bit as important as weight savings.

In the last picture you can see the obvious difference in size over the Torq Super 14 (previously known as the Portal Tek 14)
