| After working through what seems like hundreds of different ideas on how to correctly address the Crossmember/Skidplate dilema we have come to a conclusion. With the hundreds of different combinations of vehicle/engine/transmission/transfer combinations in use AND the very high cost of shipping a skid plate thick enough to be of any use we are not going to offer complete kits at all. You are going to have to make the final decision on what works best in your particular situation. We are going to make the parts so that you can pull it all together the right way. In this section you will find those parts. Our reasoning behind this decision is both direct and sensible to the buyer. Instead of spending $150 for a skidplate thick enough to help and then spending $125 to ship it to you. Spend $50 on the things that will help you make a skid or crossmember yourself that is both correct for your application and strong, and by saving all that shipping it is likely to be cheaper. Our parts aren't used by many people with stock vehicles, and once the modifications start the stock application skids and crossmembers become obsolete. So don't buy the big bucks Plates that won't work when you double your Transfer Case, change transmissions, lengthen your WB, swap engines, link the front or rear, do a shackle reversal, ect..... Make the Skid Plate you really need for YOUR setup. Any local welding shop can cut and bend steel, and you wouldn't be on this website if you were afraid to drill a hole. So look to us for the parts that will give you ideas and make creating your own skid plate design easier. |
