These are a different approach to a well known problem. The problem is how do you make a bracket that is both light and very strong but it takes up very little room on the axle? Our approach in the past has always been build it out of a big heavy chunk of steel but as a racer you are always concerned about weight and on any axle you are cramped for available space so it has to be relatively small too. Another thing we like to keep in mind is cost so we are making these pre-welded or in a Weld It Yourself version (WIY).
These are 4 plates per side with a connection bracket that tie the flats into a torsion box design and add a .188 wall tube as a guide & reinforcement for the link bolt. The resulting torsion box style construction is much stronger than the individual pieces combined. Another important feature is the way these wrap completely around the axle tube eliminating the potential for warp that is so common when putting so much concetrated heat on only 1 side of the axle tube.
These come in sets, complete for both sides of the axle (4 individual brackets) welded or unwelded.
