GM / Dodge AAM 11.50 Differential Cover

Due to low demand these covers are made per order. Please allow 5 day lead time from time order is placed.

The differential cover is a 1 piece 3/8" (.375") plate steel cap bent 8 ways then welded to a 3/8" ring! The fill plug is a generous 1" ID for easy fill and oil level check. After welding the mounting surface is machined absolutely flat for a perfect fit!

You must verify what axle is under your vehicle as there are a few options from factory. This cover fits the below vehicles equipped with the AAM 11.5"

GM Duramax Years 11.5
  • 2001-2018
Dodge Years 11.5

AAM 11.5 Diff Cover
Jake Holcombe (New Bern, NC, US) | March 5th, 2015
I finally got myself one of these beauties! Ordering and shipping was quick and painless, as always. Shipping was done via USPS, which I prefer. Since I'm in NC and Ruff Stuff is in CA, USPS is MUCH faster than UPS. Everything I order is here in 2 or 3 days max. The diff cover was everything I dreamed it would be. Pure beef! 16 lbs of amazingness! I like that they spot face the cover so a washer or bolt head can sit flat and tighten up properly. The only minor thing I see is the lead in/lead out nub from cutting the flange ring wasn't ground off. Also, note that these axles are METRIC. I called to see about how long of a bolt I would need to use and was informed they come with 5/16-18 bolts that are 3/4 long. They are, in fact, M8-1.25 bolts. At least the GM axles are. I can't attest to that on the Dodge axles, but since they're made by the same manufacturer, I would safely assume that they're threaded alike. If I spent the 7.50 on hardware, I'd want the correct stuff.
