GM / Dodge AAM 11.50 Differential Cover.

Our differential covers are made from a single plate steel cap, with a thickness of 3/8" or .375", that has been bent eight times and then welded to a 3/8" ring. The fill plug has a diameter of 1 inch, which makes it easy to fill and check the oil level. Once the welding process is complete, the mounting surface is machined to ensure a completely flat surface and a perfect fit.

It is important to verify the type of axle installed in your vehicle, as there are several options available from the factory. This particular cover is compatible with the AAM 11.5" axle, including GM Duramax models from 2001 to the present and Dodge models from 2004 to the present. It also fits AAM 11.8" rear axles.

I finally got myself one of these beauties! Ordering and shipping was quick and painless, as always. Shipping was done via USPS, which I prefer. Since I'm in NC and Ruff Stuff is in CA, USPS is MUCH faster than UPS. Everything I order is here in 2 or 3 days max. The diff cover was everything I dreamed it would be. Pure beef! 16 lbs of amazingness! I like that they spot face the cover so a washer or bolt head can sit flat and tighten up properly. The only minor thing I see is the lead in/lead out nub from cutting the flange ring wasn't ground off. Also, note that these axles are METRIC. I called to see about how long of a bolt I would need to use and was informed they come with 5/16-18 bolts that are 3/4 long. They are, in fact, M8-1.25 bolts. At least the GM axles are. I can't attest to that on the Dodge axles, but since they're made by the same manufacturer, I would safely assume that they're threaded alike. If I spent the 7.50 on hardware, I'd want the correct stuff.
