I'm building a custom ford 9 inch and this tool takes all the guess work out of measuring for shafts and pinion center. Shipping was super fast and quality is second to none. Get it right the first time and get one of these. I would say that it's not a want....it's a need.

Like all RuffStuff products I have purchased there is no skimping on material or quality, ordering was fast and easy and was received on time.
I have placed the gauge on an empty housing but will need to place gauge on a housing with correct length shafts to see were exactly where the shaft ends should be as there was no instructions.
I’m sure once I figure it out it will serve me well, I would recommend RuffStuff products as most of their stuff would cost more to fabricate yourself than to purchase from them.
