Ideal 63" Chevy Spring Swap Kit

Finally the full kit! Everything you need to fully put those wonderfully versatile 63" Chevy Springs under your rig. We have offered a couple of options so you can fully customize the way the springs are set up on your vehicle. We suggest using the 5" shackles because that will usually set you up with the 65-70 degrees of angle to prevent your springs from inverting, but sometimes people want a shorter or longer application depending on what axle they are running. We also have the option what size axle tube you have, because we all know how many variables there are! ***When installing Urethane bushings, apply grease as instructed: Remove the original rubber and outer metal shell clean I.D. of the spring eyes and frame brackets of any old rubber or rust remaining. Apply a thin coat of grease to the eyes of both spring and frame brackets. Apply a thin coat to the I.D., O.D. and flange of the bushings. (all surfaces that contact metal) Apply a light coat of grease to the O.D. of the sleeves.***

  • 2 spring plates for your choice of axle tube and 2.5" wide
  • 2 spring perches for you choice of axle tube and 2.5" wide
  • 2 63" Chevy Frenched Leaf Spring Hangers
  • 1 Pair Way Back Shackle Hangers with Bushings
  • 4 U-bolts 10"x5/8"x Your Axle tube size and hardware
  • 2 9/16"x4.5" Grade 8 Bolts and Nylock Nuts for Spring Hanging
  • 4 9/16"x5" Grade 8 Bolts and Nylock Nuts for Shackle Hanging
  • 4 Shackles with your choice of length drilled to 9/16" (Standard is 5")

There is just no way you can put this together for less.

What can you say? Other than this is the IDEAL 63 kit. comes with everything I needed and there's no way I could have put this kit together for less $. All of the items are the quality I've come to expect from Ruff Stuff.

Great product! Wish there was a walkthrough.

Kit came with everything needed, although with my 99-06 Chevy leafs I had to drill out the holes to 9/16", and the page doesn't mention that. Everything was really high quality, and extremely overbuilt. I highly doubt I'll ever break anything. Ended up using another manufacturer's walkthrough for initial tacking before fine tuning. Overall a great kit.

Great Quality, Make Sure You Have the Right Springs Though

This kit lives up to the RuffStuff reputation. The time and money it would cost to either piece this kit together or make it yourself wouldn't be worth it. The only thing that I didn't realize was that the bushings provided are for 1998 or older leaf springs. In 1999 they went to a bigger bushing so I esentially have two useless bushings in my garage and I had to pay for new bushings. The kit quality was great and easy to install if you are a decent welder but it would have been nice if the leaf spring bushing info was specified in the description.

Fits my needs perfectly

Very heavy duty stuff in this kit. Everything came well packaged and relatively quickly. I have not installed this yet but I am sure it is going to handle anything I throw at it. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and I plan to order more from Ruff stuff soon!

Ideal Spring Swap

Just as they are called the Ideal 63" Chevy Spring Swap is great.Ordering what I needed was a great experience and they knew exactly what I needed for the job I was doing on a Toyota. Couldn't ask for a better product or customer service.I would buy this again and would recommend if you are doing a swap to pick up this kit and you won't be dissatisfied.
