This is a top truss and is only for our fabricated Ruffstuff Toyota 8" axle housings. Will not work on factory or other manufactured housings
This Toyota 8" truss is almost as special as the Axle Housing it is made for! We use a lighter plate (12 Gauge) but the combination of bends make it one of the stiffest and most rigid Axle Trusses available. The ID of the truss is 3.5", the same OD as our axle tubes. This is designed this way so when welded the heat is applied to the opposite sides of the tube to keep from warping in one direction. After tacking, when you weld one side switch to the opposite side. Doing this will help keep your axle as straight as possible.
