Offset Tie Rod End

These Tie Rod Ends (TRE's) are offset by 1 inch, so in a cross over steering setup you can move to an oversize tie rod without hitting the cover at full lock. They are the standard GM 1 ton taper with a 7/8"-18 TPI threaded shank. These are sold as Lefts & Rights and we also sell them as a complete kit with 1 1/2" X .25" wall DOM tubing. Offset ends should only be used on straight linkage, not recommended for tubing with bends

Note

  • IMPORTANT: Tube adapters not included
  • Driver Side = Right Hand Thread (When mounted under the knuckle, Passenger side for over the knuckle)
  • Passenger Side = Left Hand Thread (When mounted under the knuckle, Driver side for over the knuckle)

Offset tie rod ends

These have always worked good for me. This time is no exception. I hit 2 deer and it just bent the threads on the old one. Joint was still tight and no actual failures. I will continue to use these, since they work very well and are strong

I've been running a set of the offset TRE's for over four years now. I wheel at least once a month. After a recent steering issue, I assumed it was time to replace the TREs. After I removed them I found that they were still in excellent shape. Tight, free moving and no slop. My Steering issue was another problem. I didn't expect them to have taken the abuse I've given them. Great item for the money.

These are the second set of tierod ends I've purchased. Great product, easy online ordering, and prompt delivery. Items as advertised. My go-to place for ends and parts.

I installed the RuffStuff y-link 1-ton steering in my SOA YJ with high steer. Due to clearances the drag link was against the tie rod and wouldn't allow the tie rod to fully seat. I used this offset tie rod to replace the tie rod at the Y and it did exactly what I wanted it to. Great product that allowed me to continue to use the current set up.

I used these TREs when I built my 1 ton steering for my 2010 JKU and they are very beefy and solid. Huge upgrade from stock components. I used three offset TREs for both sides of the tie rod and for the Passenger side drag link. Great products!
