Maintenance Tip: Tri-Flow is the only lubricant recommended for our rod ends. Using WD-40, PB Blaster, or similar products can cause damage and void the warranty.

Welding Tip: Correctly adjust welder settings and start your puddle on the tube to avoid overheating threads. Do not weld the tube adapter with the rod end threaded inside. Allow parts to fully cool before assembly.

DIY heim steering Gen 1/ Gen 2 Raptor

7/8 rod end kit worked perfect for my DIY steering kit for my 2012 Gen 1. Took a bit of research for the tapered spindle pin (sold by RPG OFFROAD) but once I put it all together it works flawlessly. Thanks again.

They work

Bought a previously lifted TJ that had a budget brand lift on it. Lower control arms left much to be desired and had blown out, rock hard poly bushings. They also weren't long enough for the amount of lift. So... measured the ID of the arms by drilling a hole in one, ordered these rod ends, cut one end off of the old arms, and converted them to adjustable flex arms for about 40% the cost of just buying new arms. *And* now I can push the axles back where they need to be. And the jack-stand flex (axle swap still in progress) is easily 2X what it was before. I'm having to tweak bump stops instead of the suspension binding up and being my limiting factor.

The parts themselves seem well made. Machining is clean, fitment is excellent. All parts slip together with no interference, but no play either. I'm a mechanical engineer and I know it's hard to get suppliers to hold tolerances like that and still deliver at such a reasonable price. So, Props to RuffStuff.

Shipping was a bit long. I think it was 8(?) days from order to my door, but they literally warned me on checkout that ship times were delayed, so... I can't really complain about it.

very stout rod end

Ordered these for my 97 xj 4 link and these are definitely going to hold up. Very high quality product. I live in Ohio and it only took 5 days ground shipping to get here from California.

I will definitely be ordering more for future projects.
