3/4" Heim Steering Kit
DIY steering upgrade with 3/4" Chromoly Heims
Not your basic steering setup—this is the real deal for those ready to upgrade from stock-style tie rods to something stronger, more adjustable, and trail-proven. This kit uses 3/4" Ruffstuff Heat Treated Chromoly Heim joints for superior articulation and strength, paired with 1.5" x .25" wall DOM tubing for serious abuse resistance. Whether you're building for a stock knuckle mount or high-steer arms, this setup delivers tight steering response and long-term reliability.
One of the standout features here is our integrated Safety Misalignment Spacers. We combined the safety washer with a standard misalignment spacer into one stainless steel piece. That means fewer parts, less clutter, and no weak shear points at the joint.
This is a DIY kit that gives you control over tube length and layout—just remember: measure twice, cut once, and always weld with the right setup. If you're running 35" tires or larger, we recommend stepping up to our 7/8" Heim Steering Kit.

Rod End Maintenance Tip
We only recommend using Tri-Flow to service our rod ends. Using products like WD-40 or Blaster will void the warranty.
Tips to Help Prevent Any Seized or Warped Threads
- Correctly adjust welder settings and start your puddle on the tube (too much heat will warp the threads).
- Do not weld the tube adapter with the rod end threaded inside (different cooling rates will lock them together).
- Wait until everything is fully cooled before threading rod ends into the adapters.
Note: 5/8" bolts not included. You'll need to determine the correct length based on your arms and pitman arm thickness.
