Description

Gas Tank Skid Plate For Jeep XJ

Heavy-duty steel protection that prevents costly gas tank damage from rocks and trail debris.

Your XJ's gas tank hangs low and vulnerable underneath your Cherokee, making it a prime target for punctures from rocks, stumps, and trail obstacles. This bolt-on steel skid plate provides essential protection without requiring any cutting or permanent modifications to your vehicle.

Constructed from durable steel with a powder-coated finish, this skid plate bolts directly to existing mounting points on 1984-2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee models. The low-profile design maintains ground clearance while providing maximum coverage of the vulnerable gas tank area.

Impressed

I was a little skeptical at first with the side brackets being 1/8 and not 3/16 like all the other company's but i've only been on 1 trail ride since i've installed and purposely went down on it with rocks to see how it held up and i was impressed on it taking a beating without showing any signs of give. I also like the 3 piece design the only thing i added was some 16ga steel where the exhaust is to act as a heat shield between the big holes in the side pieces.
