Ford 8.8" 3/8" Differential Cover

This is our basic differential cover. The Ford 8.8 axle is easy to find in Ford Explorers, F150's, 4.0 liter Rangers, & a ton of Ford cars too.

  • Ring and the Cover are 3/8" thick
  • Plate steel cover bent 8 ways
  • Machined absolutely flat for a perfect fit
  • All seams welded inside and out
  • Optional bolt kit comes with (5/16) 12 point bolts with washers

The differential cover is a 1 piece 3/8" (.375") plate steel cap bent 8 ways then welded to a 1/2" ring. The fill plug is a generous 3/4" ID for easy fill and oil level check, it is located 1" above where the factory "should" have put it in a stock vehicle to account for pinion adjustment. One of the reasons it is so hard to hurt is that we manufacture it out of A50 Plate Steel, that's 50,000 PSI Tensile strength. After welding, the mounting surface is machined absolutely flat for a perfect fit!

This is a fully welded Ford 8.8 Diff Cover, welded inside and out and it will include a Fill Plug unlike many of the stock 8.8's.

I have a few of these ruff stuff covers and its all I will run on my rigs. They fit better than the original cover.They have a nice big fill plug. I highly recommend these if you want the best

I got the cover with the lube locker gasket and cant be happier. I had a Eaton tru trac installed with 4.88 gears and the gears were scraping against the stock cover so I bought this fabricated cover and I am not worried about it getting punctured. I dont abuse my truck, but its one thing I know I am not going to be concerned for anymore!

I can't speak for the durability of it since I don't beat on my rig like others but it sure is beefy. It weighs a ton, fits great and looks great. The welds are fantastic and the bends are perfect. I WILL be buying one for the front when I swap axles. Great work!
