Description
FJ40 SOA Kit – Stock Axles, With or Without Reversal
Complete spring-over-axle kit for FJ40 on stock axles; welding required
This kit provides the core hardware for an FJ40 spring-over-axle conversion using the stock axles. It includes perches, U-bolt plates, hangers, shackles, U-bolts, shock brackets, and hardware so you can assemble the suspension without sourcing individual pieces. Leaf springs are not included, allowing you to choose rates and lengths that fit your build, and the included degree plate (0° or 10°) lets you set caster and pinion to match steering and driveline targets.
You can run this setup with or without a shackle reversal based on packaging and handling goals. Before welding, mock up the axles to verify caster, pinion angle, shackle angle, brake line routing, and driveshaft clearance, and use the diff-cut perch on the differential side where U-bolt clearance is tight. After final welding, perform a full fastener torque check and alignment check to confirm geometry and clearance.

Note
Mock up all components before welding to confirm caster, pinion, shackle angle, brake line routing, and driveshaft clearance. Install the diff-cut perch on the differential side to address U-bolt interference near the third member. After welding, re-torque all hardware and recheck alignment and clearances.
