Fully Welded Tie Rod For Jeep JK

Description

Fully Welded Tie Rod for Jeep JK (2007–2017)

Heavy-duty, bolt-on tie rod upgrade for JKs running GM 1-ton steering.

This fully welded tie rod kit is built specifically for Jeep JK Dana 30 and 44 axles. Using 1.5" x .25" DOM tubing, offset GM 1-ton tie rod ends, and hex head tube adapters, it’s ready to take serious hits and keep your alignment dialed. With the tie rod ends offset to clear JK axle geometry, this is a clean upgrade for off-road JKs running beefier tires and suspension setups.

It’s designed to fit most 17" steel wheels with a max 3.75" backspacing. Factory alloy wheels and deep-offset aftermarket wheels may interfere — always check clearance before installation. Your stock steering stabilizer bracket won’t work with this setup, so plan accordingly. In some cases, the knuckles will need to be reamed for GM 1-ton taper. This is a serious steering upgrade, and the results are worth the effort.

So far so good!

Definitely a big upgrade from the factory tie rod. Extremely easy to install and very easy to adjust. Highly recommend this product.

Beefy

This is a beefy tie rod, love the adjustments on both ends. I was hesitant to use the tapered inserts but they worked great and fit perfect with this tie rod. I did pre drill with 3/4 bit before stepping up to 7/8.

Nice track bar

Installed this beauty under my Jeep and it looks amazing. Only gripe is One of the bungs must have been welded HOT because it was fairly difficult to thread in one of the TREs. Had to run a tap down to clean up the threads. Installed the complete steering setup for my Jeep and it is nice and firm. Thanks RuffStuff!

1 ton tie rod

After doing some search, I decided to go with the Ruffstuff tie rod. Install went easy. Even drilling out the knuckles was not that bad. Got everything on and it drives great. Have wheeled it three or four times and everything is holding up great. I would recommend this to anyone. My only complaint is the boot on the tie rod. It just sits on there. Looks like it will let the grease leak out. Even though it has been on for 4 thousand miles and no leak. I just don't care for the design.

Stout!!!

Just received this from the brown truck today. Man this thing is pretty hard core! 1.5 X .25 DOM not much more to say. Doubt I could bend it wheeling and probably the last tie rod I will ever need on this particular Jeep. TREs are nice and HD also. Not much more to say...buy it! Or be a dumbass and spend a lot more money on something inferior.
