Description

Chevy/Dodge Front Dana 60 Kingpin Axle Disc Brake Kit

Complete Disc Brake Conversion for Dana 60 Kingpin Axles

This kit is designed for Dana 60 kingpin front axles in 1977–1991 Chevy/GMC 1-ton trucks and 1990–1993 Dodge trucks with internal locking hubs. Built after the success of our 14 Bolt disc brake brackets, it solves common fitment issues found in other kits while providing reliable braking performance using easily sourced service parts. Perfect for restoring confident stopping power while keeping your setup simple and serviceable.

The rotor mounts to the back side of the hub like the factory design. Be sure to double-check stud diameter before installation—studs should drop freely into the rotor without pressing. If needed, drill the rotors to size (typically 11/16"), ensuring the knurl still presses into the hub. Maintain a minimum of 5/8" lug nut thread engagement for safe operation.

Tolerance between caliper mounting bracket (dog ears) and rotor is literally about 1/32". The mounting pins (for calipers) sit only about 1/16" above rotor on one side and about 1/8" on other side (bends in brackets did not match correctly) other than that they work great. Cannot attach photos or would.
