Description
Ford Sterling Disc Brake Bracket Pair (’84–’97)
Easy bolt-on disc brake conversion for Ford Sterling SRW axles using affordable GM components.
These brackets are designed for 1984–1997 full-float Ford Sterling single rear wheel axles with the 8x6.5 lug pattern. Built from heavy-duty 3/8" steel, they’re designed to accept 1973–1987 GM ¾-ton 4x4 front calipers with MKD153 pads, along with a 1996 Ford E350 van rear rotor (NAPA 4886799). Using GM components keeps the cost down compared to the Ford wedge system while still delivering reliable stopping power.
The brackets mount inside of the flange, closest to the differential, and come with a spacer for later model axles. In 1994, Ford changed the inner bearing width on Sterling axles, so a ¼" spacer may be required for proper alignment — included with every kit. Like all our brake brackets, these are sold in pairs.
