Description
Ford 9" Weld-On Disc Brake Bracket Pair (3.25"–3.5" Axle Tubes)
A rugged, DIY-friendly disc brake upgrade for your big-tube Ford 9".
These weld-on brackets are built from 3/8" steel and made to fit axle tubes from 3.25" to 3.5" in diameter. Designed to work with common and affordable components like 11.75" Bronco rotors and '73–'87 Chevy 3/4-ton 4x4 front calipers, they offer a no-nonsense way to ditch drum brakes. You can also run any performance caliper with 7.05" pin spacing, giving you flexibility depending on your rig’s needs and budget.
Perfect for crawlers, tow rigs, and hot rods alike, these brackets are sold in pairs and can handle real-world abuse. As with any brake swap, proper mock-up is key — rotate for caliper clearance (typically between 9 and 12 o'clock), and tack before final welding. If you're using slip-over rotors, turning down the axle flange may be required. 15" wheels with more than 4" backspacing may run into caliper clearance issues.
