Toyota Axle Housing Bash Plate 3/8" Thick, Diff Guard

Designed to strengthen this stock housing for constant rock abuse! This 3/8" Ruffstuff Toyota axle bash plate was designed around the mini truck stock 8" rear axle but will fit the front 8" straight axle too. The bash plate can also be modified to fit the stamped Land Cruiser Toyota 9.5 axle housing that does not have the removable diff cover on it, this will require grinding down the bash plate or changing some of the bends for proper fit (since the 9.5" housing is bigger). Keep in mind it is 3/8" thick so a torch is highly recommended if you plan to bend this thing!

Nice unit. It didn't fit *perfectly*, but close enough. Very sturdy, of course.

Bash guards

Used these on my 80. Front fit great and was very easy to reshape a little bit to use on my rear axle. Definitely beefy!!

With a few adjustments this fit my Nissan H233B rear axle pretty well. No company I know of makes weld-on armor specifically for that axle, so this was next best thing

Hate to say it...too beefy!

This may actually be too beefy
It's a lot of metal to be welding to the <1/8" stock axle housing. I think 1/4" would be totally fine here. Otherwise the fit is really good and there was only one area where I felt I was stretching the limit of my weld bead.

Best Option Out There

I've had a few of the competing diff guards. This one beats them all, seriously. There's nothing extra or unnecessary. It's the heaviest-duty guard available and it doesn't take up a lot of room.

In my case, I needed a cover that wouldn't hit my gas tank Suzuki w/ Toy axles. No others (that cover the important areas) would fit but this one.

As well, it's priced less.

Win, win, win.
