Ford 9" Pinion Guard

I ordered a few items and they were received on time. individually wrapped in the tiniest box, packed tight, securely banded and taped near waterproof. Now, with this SUPER stout Pinion Guard shielding my driveline, I am supplied with the piece of mind needed when bush wheeling in forests of Northern Ontario. Rocks and trees will fear me. I will not hesitate to order from Ruffstuff in the future. I feel a 4-link rear end coming and I know where to find it!

This thing is beef. Pure and simple. See how it looks in the picture? It really is that stout. Something not shown in the picture is the way the guard-plate is attached to the mounting ring. It is a single piece of 1/2" plate that has two bends in it (for the sides). The whole skid part is tabbed and inserted into cutouts in the mounting plate where it is welded front, back, inside and out. Then the mounting face has been ground smooth. My ONLY comment on workmanship is that the welds next to the 'left' bolt hole and the 'lower right' bolt hole are in such close proximity to the hole, I will need to clearance it slightly so the bolt head sits flat instead of half-on the weld. 5 minutes on the grinder. No big deal. Otherwise, that is the ONLY negative thing I can find about this part. Once my 9" is done (currently doing a full overhaul and regearing) I am positive I will be able to smash the hell out of this guard without fear. After seeing this, I fully intend to pick up the rear brace from Ruffstuff. Also, a couple of the other guys in the club have really started looking at Ruffstuff parts, now that they have seen an example of how good their work is. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work and you will definitely get my continued business! Disappointed that I didn't get a Ruffstuff sticker for the back of my rig! I like to show off all the badass parts I put on it with decals/stickers. Don't stress though. Rock Krawler didn't send me a sticker either. :)
