Cadillac El Dorado Caliper Set with Parking Brake Lever

Cadillac El Dorado Caliper Set with Parking Brake Lever

A new set of calipers with built in parking brake to pass tech/ vehicle inspection. Up until now most companies that sold these required you to pay a core charge or return an old one to rebuild. We donít do that, these are brand new, not rebuilt and we donít need a core. This caliper came on the rear of a 76-77 Cadillac Eldorado from the factory and are the large Cadillac parking brake calipers. The caliper itself is the same in size and stopping power as a ĺ ton 73-87 Chevy and GMC 4WD truck front. The El Dorado had rear disc brakes that required the parking brake and with the low production of the El Dorado and only being available for two years made this a very rare and hard to come by caliper. Comes loaded with pads and parking brake hardware pictured.

(We do not have park brake lever arms available seperately, they come already mounted to the calipers)

These fit after market brake brackets with the commonly used ~7.045" mounting span. These will not bolt up to your rear factory brake brackets unless you have a 76-77 Cadillac El Dorado...

Only sold in PAIRS.
Can be used with park brake cables: Lokar EC-80-FU

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Great calipers with E-Brake
By Eduardo Garcia in NM on 10.2.2019
Installed on 87 Chevy 14 bolt axle with great results. Needed a caliper with an E-brake and this set has it all. Some forums say the E-brake is spotty but that is because most people do not set it up correctly. I used these instructions to set up: https://www.classicperform.com/Instructions/PDF/E-Brake-Adjust-Instructions.pdf E-brakes now hold my rig on greater than 10% slope without concern. Great quality part from RuffStuff!

Questions and Answers

Ask a Question

Eric W. on -- Asked: Will these fit on 1inch wide rotors

Answered: We use these on rotors that have a minimum discard thickness of 1.1". I am not sure if it would over extend the piston on that thin of a rotor
Ray on -- Asked: What rotor thickness are these calipers designed for?

Answered: 1.1"-1.29"
Larry P. on -- Asked: I'm using a 1977 Cadillac Seville disc brake rear end. Are this the same size rear calipers?

Answered: According to Napa's website they are different part numbers
Tim M. on -- Asked: What size rotors are used with these calipers. do you have to use El Dorado rotors and have them machined? I have a dana 60 and the chevy mounting brackets.

Answered: It's not so much the caliper that matters, more of the bracket used to hold them. We use these calipers with 12.5" rotors and 11.75" depending on the bracket. Most our kits use the front rotors off of Chevy K20 applications, but we also use an E350 front rotor in our sterling disc brake kit, and 89 Ford Bronco front rotors in our Ford 9" kits.
David G. on -- Asked: Do these use a 10mm break line or a 7/16?

Answered: 7/16"
James on -- Asked: 2 parts. What rotor for chrysler 8.25 rearwnd 4.5 bolt circle and what brackets weld to rearend? Prices please for total parts breakdown to install on 96 jeep cherokee 4x4. If ebrake cables stock dont fit what cables do i need? The lokars listed?

Answered: I do not have a kit for the 8.25. Whatever rotor diameter you do find would determine which bracket you could use to get the correct pad contact. Yes the Lokars are a universal fit cable system
Jordan on -- Asked: Does this set come with brake pads clips etc?

Answered: Yes, fully loaded
Robert on -- Asked: Will these fit on the 14bolt disc brake conversion?

Answered: This works with all our conversion kits except for the Dually/ C&C brackets
Rodney K. on -- Asked: Can you give me the center to center bolt measurements? I'm wondering if this will bolt on to replace the Wilwood calipers I have on my Currie rear end.

Answered: It's about 7" (7.045")
Dennis K. on -- Asked: do these bolt up to cooperate 14?

Answered: They will bolt up to our 14 bolt disc brake conversion brackets, but I'm unaware of them bolting to a 14 bolt that came factory with disc brakes. The mount spread on the caliper is about 7"
steven S. on -- Asked: what e brake cables are used with these calipers?

Answered: You can use universal cable: Lokar EC-80-FU
