Offset Tie Rod Kit

Offset Tie Rod Kit

This is a very nice kit that takes the diameter of a larger Tie Rod and the size of an aftermarket Differential Cover into account.

You may have to ream your knuckle's taper (depending on which knuckle you use) to accept the GM 1 ton TRE but the end result is more than worth the effort!

These have become the mandatory choice for the Jeep JK model as the only ones in the 1 ton size that will work with the factory knuckles.

You will receive:

We supply more DOM than you need because it is way too easy to make a mistake in your calculations and you can always cut tube, growing it back is the hard part!

This is one killer kit! After blowing out my factory tie rod on a rock, I knew I had to upgrade to something beefy. Very simple to build and install and perfect for an OTK upgrade when paired with the tapered weld-in inserts. Only modifications needed were trimming of the lower passenger side sway bar link mount, front of the driver side coil bucket and drilling out the knuckles to accept the inserts. The massive DOM tubing makes contact with those points at full steering lock. Well worth my time with the grinder. No more broken tie rods!

Reviewer: Andrew Felix (Huntington Beach, CA)

I was worried about needing to ream the knuckles, but I didn't need to. After reviewing Dr.Dirty's install thread (JK-Asylum), he mentioned that only a few needed to be done out of the numerous ones he built/installed. So I gave it shot. I ran into no problems and I'm very pleased with the kit. You can check out what I did on JK-Adventure.com - http://www.jk-adventure.com/JKA/steering-157/review-ruffstuffspecialties-coms-offset-tie-rod-kit-%24125-3413/#post41275. Or, check out JK-Asylum's thread. Both have great info for the Jeep JK install. Thanks Ruff Stuff Specialties!
