Ford 8.8 Rear Axle Simple Swap (31 spline)

This is the basic kit essential for your 31 spline 8.8 Rear Axle swap, more items could be added but this is the bare minimum. You will receive 1 pair of our 3/8" thick A50 Steel U-Bolt plates with 3 pin mounting options, a pair of our 8.8 Spring Perches with the same pin option to match, & 4 - 10" x 5/8" x 3 1/4" U-Bolts with 1/4" laser cut washers and nuts, and a pair of Shock Brackets . This will get your new Axle under the rig. BTW, this is NOT a Chinese made product that just can't hang with the big kids, this is the Big Kid.

This axle is found in Ford Explorers, F150 trucks, & Ford Broncos.

I loved this kit. The perches are beautifully made and fit perfectly, and the U-bolts are great quality - the heavy-duty nuts are great. In the past I've fabbed my own perches with 2" square tubing and bought the u-bolts from the auto parts store, but this was faster, easier, looks better, is more accurate, and much stronger - well worth the money.

RuffStuff has nailed this swap, and it installed like a breeze. The way the spring perches are machined allows you to get a tiht fit on the axle housing to get it positioned perfectly prior to welding. WAY MORE heavy duty than the old 8.25 junk. If coming from stock, U will need a NAPA ujoint part # 353 to fit jeep driveshaft to 8.8.
