    Add Adjustable Threaded Tube Bung?:

Y Link Steering using GM 1 Ton Tie Rod Ends

This is your not so basic steering setup that mocks the factory setup with easier adjustment & much stronger tubing. The kit can be used with stock steering position on the knuckle or High Steer arms, the taper is the standard GM 1 ton. These are stronger than stock because we use 1.5" X .25" Wall DOM tubing and the TRE's are made for a 1 ton rig and are much larger than stock. Adjustment is easier because we add Hex Head TRE weld bungs so a crescent wrench is your adjustment tool, not a pipe wrench, which will scar the tube and if too deep, cause a major stress riser. Not to mention what it does to the paint...

Important Note

  • Due to high demand please allow a 3-5 business day turnaround.
  • Requires welding by a competent person with the right equipment, don't skimp, do it right!
  • You will need to check clearances with the steering at lock to see if you need to add any bends before you cut it down to clear diff covers, sway bar mounts, etc

Kit Includes

We supply more DOM than you need because it is way too easy to make a mistake in your calculations and you can always cut tube, growing it back is the hard part!

I have this kit on my 98 jeep cherokee and it works great mine is mounted on top of the knuckle which requires you to cut off the sway bar links and trim the spring perches a tad as well as cut off the old track bar and steering stabilizer but I haven't had to run a stabilizer because this kit is so solid it takes a lot of play out of the steering. for track bar I bought ruff stuffs kit with 3/4 heims and relocated the mount just past the passenger side upper control arm mount.

After ordering the kit, UPS decided to mix up the contents of my package wit the contents of someone else's package. Emailed Ruffstuff and they sent me a new kit the next day and took care of the claim process for me! After getting my kit I got everything set up and installed on my '97 tj, it looks and feels amazing going down the road. Only thing I have to say is that they have great products and even better customer service!

I bought this kit for my Solid Axle Swap for my 100 series Land Cruiser and it makes bringing all of the steering components up to the front a breeze. The tube came in a separate package and everything is top notch and high quality.

I ordered this kit because it was less money than replacing my stock stuff and waayyy stronger. Turned out I had the room to top mount the tie rod for more clearance! Thanks Ruffstuff, you guys ROCK! I have not been disappointed yet!!
